Question: I would like to enroll for the EACFFPPC course, how can I get information about it?

Answer:

This is a basic mandatory course for all freight forwarding companies in East Africa offered by FEAFFA together with the East African revenue authorities.  The course is offered on both full time and part time basis in all five countries of east  Africa through the national associations of freight forwarders and revenue authorities. Consult the freight forwarders national association and the revenue authority in your country for more information.

Answer:

Freight forwarding is all about the smooth flow of international trade. The freight forwarder is the party who ensures that internationally traded goods move from point of origin to point of destination to arrive
At the right place,
At the right time,
In good order and condition,
At the most economic cost.

To accomplish this, expertise is required in a number of different areas; logistics, statutory compliance, risk management and finance and payment.

Question: My freight logistics company would like to join FEAFFA, how can we know whether we are eligible?

Answer:

FEAFFA is member is in three categories, i.e. full membership which is open only for national associations, associate of freight forwarders membership for institutions dealing in freight related services and honorary membership for individuals nominated by the FEAFFA board for their contribution to the freight industry in the region.

Answer:

FEAFFA regularly publishes a directory of freight logistics services providers. Consult it for details on credible freight logistics service providers in the East African region.

Answer:

FEAFFA does not does not recommend freight logistics service providers. We only offer information about the industry within the region through directories and other documents detailing what the different service providers offer. We also guarantee their quality through compliance with the set standards for all industry players.
